East West Spinning (EWS) a wool-blend spinning mill in Lodz, Poland was opened in 1992. It has an annual production capacity of 4,500 tons of wool and is a member of the Südwolle Group. The Südwolle Group, founded in 1966, has six brands: Südwolle, Biella Yarn, Soey, Yim, Stöhr and Richter and employees around 4,600 people. They have their own sheep farm in Australia with around 20,000 sheep. 35% of their production is for weaving yarns and 65% for yarns for other applications. 40% of their production is sold in Europe.
